Excise officials seized a large quantity of synthetic and other narcotic substances from a house in Thalassery and arrested a 35-year-old man on Thursday (February 5). The arrested is M.N. Renil, 35, of Vayalalm, Thalassery. The seizure included 9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 23 grams of hashish oil, and 125 grams of ganja, Excise officials said. The raid was conducted based on specific intelligence received by Thalassery Excise inspector K. Subin Raj. Renil will be produced before the court after further questioning. Excise officials suspect that he is a key link in a drug distribution racket operating in the Thalassery region.
