Minister of Transport and Electricity S.S. Sivasankar on Tuesday inaugurated the drinking water development works carried out by the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department in Varadharajanpettai town panchayat and Udayarpalayam town panchayat. While a sum of ₹8.72 crore was spent for the project in Varadharajanpettai, it cost ₹11.84 crores for providing drinking water to residents of Udayarpalayam.
