Gearing up for the Assembly elections, the DMK on Saturday (January 31, 2026) announced that 22 party speakers will start addressing meetings in all 234 Assembly constituencies from February 1.

Talking to reporters, DMK Parliamentary Party leader Kanimozhi, spokesperson T.K.S. Elangovan, party MP Kanimozhi Somu and MLA Ezhilan Naganathan said that the speakers would highlight the achievements of the Dravidian Model government while exposing the betrayal of the BJP-led Union government at the Centre. The campaign is titled “Tamil Nadu Will Not Bow Its Head.”

“The speakers will live with the people, eat with them and explain the achievements of the DMK government, and clarify the charges being levelled against the government. Every section of society, particularly women, benefited from the DMK government’s welfare schemes,” they said.

They charged the BJP government with withholding funds that were due to Tamil Nadu.
