Collector K. J. Praveen Kumar inspected the distribution of Form 12 D for postal ballot to the elderly people and the differently abled persons in the 10 Assembly constituencies in the district.

Senior citizens aged 85 years and above and differently abled persons are eligible to cast their votes through postal ballot in the Assembly elections.

Booth Level Officers (BLO) are delivering Form 12 D directly to the homes of the voters across all the 10 constituencies in Madurai district: Madurai North, Madurai South, Madurai East, Madurai West, Madurai Central, Melur, Thirupparankundram, Thirumangalam Sholavandan and Usilampatti.

Once the final candidate list is released, the officials will come to the homes of those who submitted their form to collect their postal votes. People can dial 1950 for further details regarding this process.

The main objective is to ensure 100% voter turnout, according to a press release.
