A team of officials from the discom APEPDCL on Thursday walked to the hilltop village of Dibbalapadu of Anantagiri mandal in ASR district. This village, home to eight tribal families, doesn’t have road connectivity or power supply. The village had more families in the past, but some left it after tigers strayed into Dibbalapadu in 2023. The families remaining in the village had apprised the EPDCL CMD of their problems during the ‘Dial your CMD’ programme on Monday. Assistant Engineer K. Srinivasa Rao and Line Inspector M. Tirupati Rao trekked 6 km up the hill to reach the village, according to Kosuru Appalaswamy and K. Appanna Dora, who guided the officials up the hill. The EPDCL officials told the villagers that they would send a report to the higher officials.
