Theni district administration has issued direction to devotees going towards Sabarimala for Makarajyothi at Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. To ensure a safe and traffic congestion-free journey for the devotees coming from the other States, the vehicles passing through Theni district to Sabarimala will be allowed on the Cumbum bypass road from 5 p.m. on January 14 to 8 a.m. on January 15.
