Elambahavath on Monday flagged off an election awareness rally held by differently abled persons here. The rally was part of the Election Commission’s efforts to conduct awareness programmes to encourage maximum voter turnout for the Assembly elections in the State. The three-wheeler rally, which began from the Collectorate, passed through Palayamkottai Road, Third Mile, Millerpuram, VVD Junction and Vegetable Market Junction, before concluding in front of the Corporation office. Around 50 differently abled persons, carrying placards highlighting the importance of casting votes, participated in the rally.
