Devotees thronged Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple on Friday (February 13, 2026) to take part in the colourful processions taken out as part of the ongoing Brahmotsavams.

The deities of Sri Somaskanda Murthy were placed atop a ‘Vyaghra Vahanam’ resembling a tiger and taken out on the streets of Tirupati on Friday morning. In the evening, the deities were taken on ‘Gaja Vahanam’, resembling an elephant.

TTD’s Chief Vigilance and Security Officer K.V. Muralikrishna, Temple Special Officer D. Phanikumar Naidu and Superintendent K.P. Chandrasekhar took part.

At Srinivasa Mangapuram, the deity of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara was taken out in a procession on ‘Hanumantha Vahanam’ on the sixth day of the annual festival. The deity was dressed up as ‘Venkatadri Ramudu’, in the guise of Lord Rama, even as his loyal servant Hanuman carried the deity around the temple.

The depiction of Kalyana Venkateswara as Lord Rama and mounted on Hanuman portrays the significance of pure devotion and unwavering loyalty towards a master to attain salvation, the scriptures noted.
