Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the responsibility for completing the construction of Young India Integrated Schools lies entirely with the respective District Collectors. He emphasized that a fixed timeline should be prepared to ensure the completion of building works.

Reviewing the district-wise progress of Integrated School construction through a video conference on Monday, the Deputy Chief Minister instructed Collectors to take action if contractors fail to commence work within 15 days of signing agreements. He stressed that the maximum possible number of schools should be made operational by the next academic year.

Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka also instructed that wherever tenders have been finalized, a Bhoomi Puja should be conducted in the presence of the concerned Minister or local MLA. He directed District Collectors to conduct weekly reviews of the progress and to visit construction sites in their jurisdictions at least once a month for on-site inspections.

He assured that there are no issues regarding funds for school construction and that bill payments will be processed every 15 days. He explained that SC, ST, BC, and Minority Residential Schools, which previously operated separately, are now being integrated at a single location. Through this initiative, the State government aims to send a strong message to the world. He added that these Integrated Schools are designed to unite all sections of society that were previously divided into different groups, making them a national role model and true game changers.

Additionally, he directed that a third-party agency be appointed for continuous quality checks during construction and that quality inspection teams should personally visit the sites. He suggested that the Chief Secretary obtain weekly progress reports from District Collectors.
