People filling water from a DJB supply tanker at Chilla village near Mayur Vihar last summer. | Photo Credit: via Getty Images Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh on Monday said under the Summer Action Plan for water supply, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will maintain a peak water production of around 1,002 million gallons per day (MGD) during the summer and deploy about 1,221 tankers to make sure that water reaches every household. The number of ‘fixed points’ where the tankers will supply water has also been increased from around 9,000 to 13,000, an official said.
