Seven persons, including a jewellery shop owner, suffered burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded at a goldsmith unit in Sowcarpet on Wednesday night. The unit, functioning on the fourth floor of a building on Singannan Street, was reportedly melting gold ornaments when the cylinder suddenly exploded, sparking a fire inside the workshop.
