Cybercrime team busts seven-member international cybercrime network in Ramanathapuram

The cybercrime wing busted a seven-member module of the international cybercrime network operating from Sathirakudi and Paramakudi village in Ramanathapuram district.  

A press statement of the cybercrime wing, said, sustained surveillance in cyber space and intensive investigation carried out by the Cyber Crime Wing Headquarters, in connection with an online investment scam involving a loss of ₹1.36 crore to a victim, indicated the presence of organised module engaged in siphoning off cybercrime proceeds to offshore cybercrime network.
