Fifty nine individuals were held for indulging in indecent acts at public places during 127 decoy operations carried out by the She Teams of the Cyberabad police between January 3 and 9, as per the data shared by the Women and Child Wing. Petty cases were booked in 63 instances, while the remaining persons were counselled. The She Teams also received 17 complaints from women through various modes during the week. As part of Operation Smile-XII, the Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered 49 cases under the Juvenile Justice Act across the commissionerate limits and rescued 215 children, including 200 boys and 15 girls. Efforts were also made to reunite 31 families involved in marital disputes through family counselling centres and Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW). Police said extensive preventive and awareness programmes were conducted by the AHTU and She Teams across Cyberabad, with around 6,615 participants. The sessions focused on issues such as human and child trafficking, eve-teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child labour, stalking, cyberbullying and cyber frauds, along with information on emergency helplines and police response systems.
