The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Cyberabad police has registered a case against a real estate firm over an alleged large scale cheating of home buyers linked to an apartment project near the Kukatpally Y Junction. According to the police, the case has been booked against management of White Water Construction, which undertook an apartment project called White Waters. The victims have reportedly complained that around ₹270 crore was collected from nearly 500 customers over the past few years in the name of the project. They claimed that payments were taken continuously while the project failed to progress as promised. Based on the complaint filed by the investos, Cyberabad EOW police registered a case and initiated a probe. Further investigation is underway.
