A review of Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSW) and sanitation activities was conducted by Commissioner of Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner G. Srijana on Tuesday, with senior officials stressing stricter enforcement of waste management norms ahead of the implementation of Municipal Solid Waste Rules from April 1. With the new MSW Rules set to come into force next month, officials were directed to ensure 100% door-to-door waste collection and source segregation across all jurisdictions. In Industrial Area Local Authority (IALA) areas, primary waste collection will be handled by respective units, while municipalities will take charge of secondary and tertiary collection, transportation and disposal.
