The entry of commercial goods vehicles into Delhi, except those that are CNG-powered, electric, or compliant with BS-VI norms, will be restricted from November 1 as part of the ‘Air Pollution Mitigation Action Plan 2026’, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement on Friday. The government will also regulate non-essential traffic inflow. During periods of severe pollution, it may consider staggered office timings, work-from-home directives, and additional restrictions on polluting vehicles for immediate relief, the CMO added.
