CRS inspects newly laid double line on K-K route

Brijesh Kumar Mishra, Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle, conducted a thorough inspection on Sunday of the newly constructed electrified 9 km double line between Karakavalasa – Shimiliguda stations, in connection with the Doubling project of the crucial Kottavalasa-Kirandul (K-K) line.

The newly laid section has been laid with 60 kg rails, has major, minor bridges and curves which have been constructed to conform to 25T axle load. Speed trials were conducted successfully and authorisation was received for taking up full-fledged commissioning.
