The district committee has condemned the arrest of Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro and demanded his immediate release. Addressing the protestors, the district committee secretary Jagadish Surya criticised the bombing carried out by the U.S. government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. He denounced the actions of U.S. President Donald Trump, under whose orders the American forces carried out explosions and aerial attacks on civilian and military areas of the capital city of Caracas and arrested the Venezuelan President and his wife, forcibly taking them out of the country. He said the U.S. was facing a severe internal crisis and had launched an attack on Venezuela as a means to overcome it. “Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, possesses some of the world’s largest oil reserves, extensive gas fields and significant gold reserves. The attack on a free and sovereign nation in order to gain control over these resources is strongly condemned,” said a press statement issued by the organisers of the demonstration. Sunil T.R., the Mysuru district president of All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO), has also issued a statement condemning the “imperialistic attack” by the US on Venezuela. “The warmonger U.S. has been threatening oil-rich Venezuela to submit to the interests of U.S. multinationals for a long time and bow down to their dictates. But when the Venezuelan people rejected their demands, re-electing Nicolas Maduro as President, the U.S. imperialist force, violating all international laws, pounced on this oil-rich country and abducted the Venezuelan President, charging him with false and fabricated allegations,” the statement said. It further added, “The U.S. President has declared that the U.S. will run the Venezuelan State from now on. The UN is completely silent over this terrorist strike on Venezuela. The AIDYO vehemently condemns this heinous crime and appeals to all democratic-minded people to oppose this imperialist attack on Venezuela.” Published – January 04, 2026 07:44 pm IST Share this: Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email More Click to print (Opens in new window) Print Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window) Pocket Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window) Mastodon Click to share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Like this:Like Loading...
