The city police arrested 10 individuals for allegedly possessing fake currency worth about ₹37 lakh in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. Acting on credible information, the Maharanipeta police, along with personnel from the City Task Force (CTF), conducted vehicle checks along the stretch between Jagadamba Junction and Collectorate Road. During the checks, the police intercepted a car with three persons. Upon a thorough search, the police recovered fake currency notes worth ₹37 lakh, all in ₹2,000 denominations. Additionally, the accused were also found carrying ₹3.18 lakh in genuine currency.
