National Institute Of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences ( NIMHANS) NIMHANS will host a national-level consultative meeting titled ‘Digital technologies for Mental Health: Evolving Policy and Regulatory Recommendations for Safe Use’ on April 17, bringing together leading experts, agencies, and officials to deliberate on the rapidly expanding digital mental health ecosystem in India. According to a release, the meeting is being convened by the NIMHANS–ICMR Centre for Advanced Research (CAR), in collaboration with the Services for Healthy Use of Technology (SHUT) Unit at NIMHANS. “The consultation comes at a critical moment, as mobile applications and technology-enabled mental health tools proliferate across the country, raising important questions around quality, privacy, safety, and responsible use,” said a release.
