PUDUCHERRY The Congress party was yet to get any response from the DMK after it intimated the latter about the setting up of a seven-member committee under the leadership of president of Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee and MP V. Vaithilingam for seat sharing talks for the 2026 Assembly polls in the Union Territory. Last week, the Congress leadership after constituting the Committee had asked the DMK to depute a team for seat negotiations. “We had informed the DMK leadership about our panel for seat negotiations on March 5 and had urged them to depute a team for talks to be held in Puducherry. However, there has been no communication from the DMK side so far,” a senior Congress leader told The Hindu.
