The Marian Institute of Management at Marian College, Kuttikkanam, (Autonomous), in collaboration with Kazimierz Wielki University (Poland), Parul University (Gujarat), and St. Aloysius College (Jabalpur), jointly organised a two-day international conference titled “Business Transformation for Sustainability” on February 5 and 6.

The conference attracted 179 delegates, including 51 international participants from 19 countries, who presented their research papers in a hybrid mode.

The event was inaugurated by senior IAS officer Raju Narayana Swamy. Mallika Shankar, Deputy Director of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), was the guest of honour. The keynote address was delivered by Bharat Das, master trainer of the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) initiative under the Ministry of Education. A special thematic lecture was presented by Oey Kok Long, senior lecturer at the University of Malaya.

The inaugural session was presided over by Father Bobby Alex Mannamplackal, college manager.

The valedictory address was delivered by Anil Jaggi, director of Global Peace Foundation of India’s Transformative Technology Network. An international expert talk was delivered by M.Y. Dwi Hayu Agustini of Soegijapranata Catholic University, Indonesia.

A panel discussion, moderated by Samson Thomas, brought together Abraham Francis (Australia), Ramesh P. V. (Dalmia Cements), Aravind Warrier (Volvo), and Aravind P.S. (Threeaar Green Pvt. Ltd.).
