District Collector Sumit Kumar on Friday (February 27) called for effective implementation of the Sanjeevani project in Chittoor, stressing the need for robust monitoring and timely follow-up of patients.

Reviewing the Digital Nerve Centre and Sanjeevani initiative at a meeting with medical and paramedical staff at the Collectorate here, he said the centres are providing OP services, home appointment services and referral support to streamline access to healthcare.

The Collector instructed doctors to spread wider public awareness so that beneficiaries fully utilise the services. Highlighting the need for quality care, he made follow-up mandatory and called for regular monitoring of all logins on the Health X app in coordination with Primary Care Coordinators.

Sumit Kumar said accurate and complete data entry by every doctor is crucial for analysing disease trends, estimating regional disease burden and identifying emerging hotspots. Proper data management would also aid future medical planning, he added. District Medical and Health Officer D.T. Sudharani and other doctors attended.
