Responding to the appeal received by two Iranian sisters on (April 8) affected by the ongoing conflict in West Asia, District Collector M. Abhishikt Kishore extended financial assistance amounting to ₹1 lakh on Thursday to the sisters, currently stuck in Visakhapatnam. The assistance was provided in two parts, ₹50,000 through the district’s Sanjeevani Fund and another ₹50,000 in cash contributed by the Kanaka Mahalakshmi Devasthanam. The Collector handed over the cheque and cash to the Iranian student sisters at his chamber on Thursday evening.
