Child marriage cases continue to be reported in Coimbatore district, with official data showing an increase in complaints in recent years. According to official data, 58 complaints related to child marriage were recorded in 2020. The number increased to 146 in 2021, before declining to 109 in 2022 and 63 in 2023. In 2025, the number of complaints rose to 174.
