The dog squad of the Coimbatore City Police have got two new customised and air-conditioned vans for the transport of its dogs that assist the force in detection of crime and anti-sabotage exercises. A senior police officer said the K-9 squad received the two new vans last week and the vehicles were stationed at the motor transport section in the Police Recruits School for registration formalities. City Police Commissioner N. Kannan inspected the vehicles and checked their specifications upon their arrival.
