According to officials of Chennai Metro Rail, construction of the deck slabs was completed a week ago and at present, the focus is on building the remaining stations from Alapakkam to Saligramam. | Photo Credit: JOTHI RAMALINGAM B Chennai Metro Rail has completed the construction of 26 deck slabs in a section of corridor 4 of the upcoming phase II project, from Porur to Vadapalani. The first stretch in the phase II project from Poonamallee to Vadapalani via Porur, a part of corridor 4 (Poonamallee to Light House via Alwarthirunagar and Porur) has been preparing for the opening for a while now. Though it was scheduled to be open to the public in February, the launch of the stretch has been postponed.
