Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the newly built rest house for pilgrims visiting the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple on the sprawling campus on Thursday.

Following the inauguration through video-conferencing facility, Temple Fit Person and Board of Trustees Chairperson Rukmini Palanivel Rajan, accompanied by trustees and HR&CE officials, lit the traditional ‘kuthuvilakku’ marking the opening ceremony on the premises.

The HR&CE officials said that a total of 28 rooms had been built in the multi-storeyed building in which 278 persons can stay.
