Hyderabad In a gesture of support from the State government, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy handed over ₹1 crore ex gratia cheques each to the families of the two constables who lost their lives in the line of duty. The financial assistance was extended to the family of Excise Constable Gajula Soumya, who died when a car drove over her while she was on duty. Similarly, ₹1 crore was sanctioned to the family of Police Constable Pramod Kumar, who succumbed to injuries after being stabbed by miscreants while on duty in October last year. The Chief Minister personally presented the cheques to the bereaved families during a programme held in Nizamabad. He expressed deep condolences to the families and assured them of the government’s continued support.
