At a Navratri-related programme held on the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya campus in Pitampura, Ms. Gupta outlined the recently presented Delhi budget and assured parents that the administration remains committed to the safety, education, and progress of girls. The Delhi government has earmarked ₹90 crore in the 2026-27 budget to provide free bicycles to around 1.3 lakh Class 9 girls to make it easier for them to reach school. The bicycles distributed on Thursday, however, are not part of the government’s budget announcement.
