A 14-year-old girl who was returning from school was allegedly abducted and raped by four men in the Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh, police stated on Friday (February 6, 2026).

According to the police, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (February 5, 2026) when the girl, a resident of a village near Mauganj city and a class 8 student, was returning with her friend after taking a pre-board examination.

Mauganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilip Soni told The Hindu that Mintu Jaiswal, 24, the prime accused, who was the victim’s former senior and known to her, picked them up on his motorbike.
