HR&CE Minister and CMDA chairman P.K. Sekarbabu on Wednesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for civic works worth ₹15.88 crore in the Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar Zone. According to a press release, he flagged off work to construct stormwater drains at a cost of ₹11.75 crore. The Minister laid the foundation stone for a women’s gymnasium at Vadivelu 2nd Cross Street, Perambur, at an estimated cost of ₹50 lakh under the Ward Development Fund. An Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) will be constructed at A.K. Swamy Nagar, 9th Street, at a cost of ₹3.63 crore under the Capital Fund, the release stated. Mayor R. Priya, Zone Committee Chairperson R. Saritha, councillors, and officials were present.
