The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a 100-day initiative to enhance water security and strengthen irrigation systems, with the programme being implemented extensively in Chittoor district. Scheduled from April 6 to July 14, 2026, the initiative focuses on restoring water bodies, conserving available resources and improving groundwater levels. The works are planned in phases. Between April 6 and 15, officials will identify the works to be taken up, followed by administrative approvals up to April 20. The execution of works will continue from April 21 to July 9, and the final review and submission of reports will take place between July 10 and 14.
