District Agriculture Officer Murali called on the field officers to achieve Rythu App registration targets by 100% across all mandals of Chittoor district, stressing that accurate farmer data is crucial for the effective implementation of welfare schemes.

The DAO was speaking at a review meeting held here on Saturday (January 10).

The official reviewed current seasonal conditions, crop area coverage, fertilizer availability, urea requirement and distribution, quality control measures, and the status of legal enforcement actions. He directed agriculture officials to work with greater responsibility and coordination to ensure the timely delivery of benefits to farmers.

Mr. Murali directed officials to focus on achieving targets during the rRabi 2025–26 season, including GAP field verification, Ind-GAP certification, NFSM, NMEO–Oilseeds, Polam Pilustondi programme, FMIS survey, construction of Rythu Bharosa Kendram buildings, promotion of fodder crops, distribution of mini kits, crop-cutting experiments, soil sample collection and testing, micronutrient supply, and crop insurance verification.

Reiterating farmers’ welfare as the department’s primary objective, the DAO said quality inputs and transparent processes must be ensured at all levels. He also called for close monitoring of fertiliser stocks and strict action against violations of quality norms.

The meeting was attended by AP Markfed District Manager E. Sriramulu and AP Seeds Divisional Manager Jagadish.
