Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian will on Wednesday inaugurate new facilities at Chithranjali Studio, completed as part of the first phase of the State government’s project to revamp the studio. The new facilities include an air-conditioned shooting floor, modern lighting units and new office building. A 10-foot bronze statue of J.C. Daniel, known as the father of Malayalam cinema for making Vigathakumaran, the first feature film in the language, will also be unveiled. General Education Minister V. Sivankutty will preside over the function.
