SIMS Hospital in Chennai on Thursday (February 19, 2026) launched an integrated Sleep Institute, a centre bringing together 10 medical specialties under a personalised sleep-care model to address fragmented sleep.

The facility is supported by advanced sleep labs, real-time analysis, and Drug Induced Sleep Endoscopy (DISE) technology to enable comprehensive evaluation and treatment of neurological, respiratory, and psychological sleep disorders across age groups, a press release said.

A multidisciplinary team including ENT surgeons, pulmonologists, neurologists, and bariatric specialists will provide Positive Airway Pressure therapy and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, the release added.

The institute was inaugurated by actor Aishwarya Rajesh, along with SRM Group Chairman Ravi Pachamuthu. Doctors at the event said that untreated snoring can reduce oxygen levels and increase risks of stroke and heart attack, and stressed the need for early diagnosis and integrated sleep management.
