Chennai: Fire breaks out at Nexus Vijaya Mall in Vadapalani

A fire broke out at Nexus Vijaya Mall in Vadapalani, Chennai on Monday (February 16, 2026), prompting a swift emergency response.

The fire broke out in the forenoon and thick smoke enveloped the mall premises. The mall administration deployed staffers to control the fire.

Meanwhile, on receiving a call from a member of the public, Fire and Rescue Services personnel rushed to the spot and fire tenders were engaged in controlling the blaze.
