Southern Railway would run Chennai Egmore-Kanniyakumari-Chennai Beach special trains to clear extra rush of passengers on the occasion of Sivarathiri celebrations. Train No. 06135 Chennai Egmore – Kanniyakumari superfast express would leave Chennai Egmore at 11.45 p.m. on February 13 (Friday) and reach Kanniyakumari at 1 p.m. the next day, a statement said. Train No. 06136 Kanniyakumari – Chennai Beach superfast express would leave Kanniyakumari at 9.35 p.m. on February 16 (Monday) and reach Chennai Beach at 10.15 a.m., the next day. The trains would have one AC first class-cum-AC 2-tier coach, two AC 2-tier coaches, two AC 3-tier coaches, 11 sleeper class coaches, three general second class coaches and two second class coaches (differently abled friendly), the statement said. The trains would stop at Nagercoil, Valliyur, Nanguneri, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchi, Srirangam, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpet and Tambaram.
