Officers of the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Chennai Customs seized about 5 kg of narcotic substances from an international passenger at the Chennai airport and arrested him. Acting on specific intelligence, officials intercepted an Indian passenger who arrived in Chennai from Vietnam on March 19. Upon examination of his check-in baggage, officers found 10 airtight transparent polythene packets concealed among his personal belongings.
