The festival will be held to celebrate World Theatre Day. | Photo Credit: fergregory Belagavi-based theatre group Ranga Sampada will organise the Chaitra Drama Festival at the Lokmanya Rangamandira in Konawala Galli in Belagavi on March 27, 28, and 29. Group president Arvind Kulkarni told reporters that the festival would be held to celebrate World Theatre Day. Theatre artist Vinay Kulkarni will be presented with the Rangasakhi Award. Writer Sarju Katkar and LIC officer B.P. Ravi will be present. Bengaluru-based Kajana troupe will perform ‘Panchagavya’, a one person performance, on March 27. The Rangasampada troupe will perform the play ‘Bhanumathi’ on 28th and `Pukkate Salahe’ on the 29th. A dialogue with writer H. Dundiraj will be held on the 29th. ‘Rangasampada is a group of amateur artists and has a history of 47 years. We perform 10 to 12 plays every year’, Dr. Kulkarni said.
