Sumangala, an adult female elephant rescued as an orphaned calf in 1988 from Tirupathur Forest Division, has been safely relocated to the Chadivayal elephant camp in Boluvampatti Range of the Coimbatore Forest Division. She was transported from Theppakadu Elephant Camp in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) by truck, arriving on Monday night. The relocation was carried out under the supervision of forest staff and veterinary personnel, ensuring her safety and well-being throughout the process.
