Work on carving out houselisting blocks (HLB) for the Houselisting and Housing Census, which constitute Phase 1 of Census 2027, will begin by the end of April in Kerala. Once the HLBs are demarcated, census officials will have a clear idea as to the number of enumerators required for the exercise planned in July this year with a 15-day self-enumeration period in June.
