MOORTHY Casting of postal ballots for people aged 85 years and above and differently abled persons began in all the seven Assembly constituency of Virudhunagar district on Monday. A total of 2,008 elderly persons and 1,845 differently abled persons have given the option of casting postal ballots sitting in their homes by submitting for 12D. The District Election Officer, N.O. Sukhaputra, has formed 49 teams comprising officials, including a micro-observer, to go door-to-door and collect the postal ballots. While Rajapalayam and Srivilliputtur Assembly constituencies will have 10 teams each, Aruppukottai Assembly seat will have seven teams, Aruppukottai and Tiruchuli will have six teams each and Sattur and Sivakasi 5 teams each.
