Car driver arrested in hit-and-run case

The Traffic Investigation Wing, Pondy Bazaar, has arrested a car driver in connection with a hit-and-run case that claimed the life of an autorickshaw driver.

Police said the accident occurred on the night of March 14 at Nerkundram Pathai in Vadapalani. The accused, while driving a car, allegedly rammed into an autorickshaw and fled the scene. The autorickshaw driver sustained severe injuries and died on the spot before an ambulance could assist.
