The State Cabinet has decided to recommend the Governor to convene the 16th session of the 15th Kerala Assembly from January 20 onwards. The date of the presentation of the State Budget — the final one of the current LDF government — and passing of the Vote on Account is yet to be finalised, according to government officials. Reportedly, it is likely to be in the last week of January. Meanwhile, the 2026 edition of the Loka Kerala Sabha (LKS) too is scheduled to take place towards the end of January. As per the schedule, LKS 2026 will be inaugurated on January 29 with sessions planned on January 30 and 31.
