The Delhi Cabinet has approved the Chief Minister Skill Development Scheme aimed at supporting artisans linked to khadi, handloom, cottage industries, and the unorganised sector, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said on Thursday.

The scheme seeks to equip thousands of artisans with modern skills and market access. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said Delhi’s artisans are custodians of the city’s cultural heritage but need updated training and digital exposure. “This scheme will ensure they not only sustain themselves in the new economy, but truly progress with upgraded skills and access to digital platforms,” she said. The CM also launched development works worth ₹85 crore under the SC/ST Improvement Scheme.
