Cabinet approves creation of fire stations, posts

The State Cabinet on Wednesday approved the establishment of new fire stations at Mavoor, Neriyamangalam, Cheemeni and Rajakkad along with the required posts.

Eighteen posts have been sanctioned for the Mavoor fire station. For the fire stations at Neriyamangalam, Cheemeni and Rajakkad, the Cabinet has approved the creation of the following posts for each station: station officer and assistant station officer (three each), senior fire and rescue officer (four), and fire and rescue officer (driver) (one). Any additional posts required will be identified through redeployment.

The Cabinet also approved the creation of 20 police constables (driver) posts. Besides, two assistant professor posts will be created in the Department of Forensic Science at Calicut University. The decision was taken based on the recommendations of the Registrar and the State Police Chief.

Further, two Assistant Professor posts will be created in the Department of Forensic Science at University of Calicut. The decision was taken based on the recommendations of the Registrar and the State Police Chief.
