Torn between a beer and coffee? Have a coffee beer. Want a sandwich but something different? Try a patty melt. The newly-opened outlet in Sainikpuri, Secunderabad offers everything from gelatos, coffees, small and big eats to sourdough pizzas. They are also showing off their tiramisu coffee — a coffee that tastes like the Italian dessert and is served with a savoiardi. This is C! Gusta’s second outlet in Hyderabad, the first being at Madhapur. Designed on the lines of an all-day dining cafe, the outlet has a well-lit, uncluttered seating with food pictures on the wall letting visitors jog up an appetite even before running their eyes through the menu. sourdough pizza at C! The menu offers everything from salads to grilled eats in veg and non veg choices. For breakfast, there is a choice of eggs with signature coffees. Give bread a break and have croissants with eggs; vegetarians can try curried vegetables on croissants. Most of the small and big eats are wholesome platters that come with a selection of protein with sauteed vegetables in a choice of your sauce. Burger Having tried their pizza and patty melt at the Madhapur outlet, I chose to try a few different things. For beginners — a salad with avocado, quinoa with chicken bacon. The salad met my green requirement for at least two days. It was rich and silky with a smooth and fresh avocado dressing. The greens included mixed lettuce and was accompanied by cherry tomatoes, croutons, cucumber, feta cheese, the chicken that was flavourful. The chicken bacon added the crispy crunch, but the pork bacon was dearly missed. The maple mustard dressing was the icing on this salad. Will the salad be my repeat order another day? Not really, I would rather stick to C! Gusta’s signature caesar salad which is not an overload of greens. From the short eats, I was recommended the crispy broccoli popcorn. This makes for an interesting choice eat for vegetarians or vegans. Surely not something I would want to trade with crispy chicken or peri peri chicken slivers. Apart from the non veg melt sandwiches, the brand’s grilled sandwiches with vegetarian options such as grilled vegetables and cottage cheese should also be given a try. This is flavourful, filling and not too high on spice. The smoked fiery chicken is for those who want spicy meats. The beverage menu offers hot and cold speciality coffees, hot chocolates and special teas. C!
