An burglary attempt was reported at Manachanallur Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society in Tiruchi on Wednesday. Police said unidentified persons broke open the gate of the society located on Kadaiveethi during the night and attempted to open the safe containing pledged gold ornaments worth about ₹10 crore and cash of ₹8 lakh. However, they failed to access it.
