Commuters on Outer Ring Road have raised concerns over uneven concrete dividers near metro pillars, which are narrowing the road and creating safety risks. Two-wheeler riders are particularly vulnerable in heavy traffic. At several stretches along the ORR where metro construction is under way, the central divider appears to bulge outward around pillar bases, narrowing the usable carriageway. Motorists say these sudden constrictions reduce manoeuvring space and increase the risk of collisions, especially during peak hours when traffic congestion is high.
